Why Jesus?

That’s the question I asked myself when I first started my spiritual journey. What is the big deal about this guy? Why do so many people love Him? Why do so many people hate Him? Did he even exist? Was he just made up to control people? So I went on a journey to find answers. I have done my best to compile videos with answers to as many questions that I could think of. Most of these are questions I was asking on my journey. Some are questions that people have asked me. As you go through these videos, please understand… you may not agree with everything that is being said. Just know that I am coming from a place of love. I have no problem respectfully disagreeing with other peoples views. I believe I have found the truth in Jesus. If that’s not something you personally believe… I still love you. You may not like some of the answers you find here…. but we all know the truth can hurt sometimes. I would rather know a painful truth than a comforting lie. I’ll be adding more videos and info as I discover it. I am still learning every day.

DID JESUS EVEN EXIST?

The first step I took was to determine if Jesus actually existed or not. How credible was The Bible? Are there any sources outside of The Bible for Jesus’s existence? Is there historical evidence for the resurrection? Did this really happen?!?!?!? Here’s a list of videos and references to all of these types of questions.

IS JESUS JUST A COPYCAT?

This is something I was hit with when I first became a follower of Jesus. It scared me for a second. Even after all of the historical evidence, I really thought I had agreed to follow a copycat! I have compiled as many credible videos as I could find. There apparently are A LOT of other gods that people try and say Jesus was copied from. They have all been debunked.

WHY IS JESUS DIFFERENT?

What makes following Jesus different than following other religions? Don't they all basically teach the same thing?

IF GOD IS SO GOOD THEN WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN?

Before I understood how the world really worked ….. this really ate me up inside. With everything going on in the world, how could God possibly be “Good”?

DID THEY REMOVE BOOKS FROM THE BIBLE?

I was always under the impression that a group of people hand picked what was in The Bible in order to use it to control people. Claiming that I can’t trust The Bible because it was “written by man”… meanwhile everything I’ve ever read in school about history, science etc… was “written by man”. Learning how The Bible was actually put together is extremely enlightening!

DOES THE BIBLE SUPPORT SLAVERY?

This is something that was hard for me to understand until I dug deeper into it. I was not willing to put my faith in a God who condoned the buying and selling of people. How could a loving God allow such things?

WHY DOES GOD KILL PEOPLE?

There are stories in The Bible about God’s wrath. Without knowing the proper context, people use God’s justice as a way to show He’s not really a good God. There are consequences to evil. You will see He is an extremely patient God.

DOES GOD HATE SEX?

This was a challenge to me. I was really under the impression that God was trying to limit my pleasure in life. I was never able to comprehend why sex outside of marriage was such a big deal. Growing up in a culture that is so sexually "free", it’s sometimes easy to think that these views are outdated. I hope these videos give you some clarity.

WHAT ABOUT EVOLUTION AND THE BIG BANG?

Here’s the truth. You can believe in evolution and believe in God. People will try to convince you that you can’t. But the more I dig into evolution the more I realize why it’s still the “theory” of evolution. Also…. what about Jurassic park?!?!? Why aren’t there any dinosaurs in The Bible? These questions used to drive me crazy!

ISN’T THE BIBLE FULL OF ERRORS?

How could something that comes from God have so many errors in it?

IS THE NEW TESTAMENT RELIABLE?

I wanted to dig a bit deeper into this subject. These videos go really in depth. Each video’s claim is backed with source material.

CAN GOD AND SCIENCE REALLY COEXIST?

This is one of the most interesting subjects to look in to. I have spent hours listening to debates and explanations from both sides. Scientifically “something” can’t come from “nothing”… so how did the universe form?

IS THE BIBLE SEXIST?

This is something I heard all the time before I was a believer. Since I never looked into it, I believed it. So what is the true Biblical view of women?
